Club Committee Duties and Responsibilities

All committee membership will ordinarily be elected at the annual general meeting at which time at least 75% of members must be present.

President
The President will be required to carry out a number of functions during the term of presidency including; Charring of meeting; Attending various functions as required from time to time; Overseer and take full responsibilities of Clubs affairs in absence of any other positions in club, act at all the times in best interest of the Club. 

Vice President
The Vice President in Absence of President will be required to carry out a number of functions during the term of presidency including; Charring of meeting; Attending various functions as required from time to time; Overseer and take full responsibilities of Clubs affairs in absence of any other positions in club, act at all the times in best interest of the Club. 

Club Captain
At each event the club captain will need to ascertain at the earliest opportunity the number of participants and insure that are sufficient cards available to each group. The Capitan is to insure that the first group hits off on the time allocated and that each group there after proceeds in an orderly and quick fashion.

Club Vice Captain
The club vice-captain will undertake the duties of the club captain in his/her absence. It will be the responsibility of the club captain and vice-captain to ensure that one of them attend each club game.

Club Handicapper
He handicapper will be responsible for insuring that each player’s handicap is recorded on the players scorecard. The handicapper will collect the scorecards at the end of each event and calculate the net scores. The handicapper and the club captain will announce the winners of each event on the basis of the calculated net scores. Each player will only receive a handicap after playing 3 consecutive rounds after which the handicap will be calculated on the basis of the players average score for the 3 rounds. Each player will be allocated into either A Grade or B Grade depending on his handicap.

Club handicappers Assistant
The club handicapper’s assistant will undertake the duties of the club handicapper in his/hers absence and assist the club handicapper in the performance of his/hers duties.
It will be the responsibility of the club handicapper and club handicapper’s assistant to ensure that at least one of them attend each club game.

Club Treasurer
The treasurer will be responsible for; Collecting the money at each event; Ensuring that the correct amount is paid to the Golf Club in accordance with the booking made; Any excess amounts will be deposited into the association’s bank account for use, as the association deems fit.

Club Treasurers Assistant
The club treasurers assistant will undertake the duties of the club treasurer in his/hers absence and assist the club treasurer in the performance of his/hers duties.
It will be the responsibility of the club treasurer and club treasurers assistant to ensure that at least one of them attend each club game.

Club Secretary
The club secretary will be responsible for; All-official club correspondence; Creating and maintaining club membership details; Recording of and distributing all minutes and relevant information to club members and; Providing necessary information to other committee members required in performing their duties. 

Club Secretary Assistant
The club’s secretary assistant will undertake the duties of the club secretary in his/hers absence and assist the club secretary in the performance of his/hers duties.

It will be the responsibility of the club secretary and club secretary assistant to ensure that at least one of them attends each club game.

Club Entertainment Officer
The club entertainment committee will be responsible for; Providing food and beverage for each game; Planning and organising all club social activities. 

Club Coach
The club coach shall be responsible for assisting/coaching of clubs junior and senior novice members.

Club Manager
The club manager will be responsible for; Acquiring club sponsorship; Club promotion; Membership drives; Interacting with other clubs (i.e. Melbourne).

Reporter
The Reporter will be responsible for gathering of information and publishing it on website in order to provide members and other interested parties information such as; What; When; Where; Club Standings; And other relevant information. 

Assistant Reporter
The club’s Assistant Reporter will assist the Club Reporter in his/hers duties. It will be the responsibility of the Club Reporter and Club Reporters Assistant to ensure that at least one of them attends each club game.

Cook
Duties of a Club Cook is to prepare the food and beverages and to ensure that there are enough provisions provided for all Club Members at any particular golf game.

Club Rounds
The club rounds will ordinarily be held on either on a Saturday or Sunday. Each club round will require the presence of the following members:

Club Captain 
Treasurer 
Handicapper 

These positions will be determined on any given day depending on the members that make themselves available for each round. Should there not be sufficient members on any given day then one person may assume more than one role for the purpose of the administration of the round.
